I have a unique blend of creative, UX and marketing knowledge which – when combined with my innate drive to help those less fortunate than myself – allows me to solve big gnarly problems in innovative ways.
I’ve developed marketing, content and social strategies, crafted and managed cross-channel performance campaigns, guided creative strategy on national advertising programs, as well as driving innovation and forward-thinking technical excellence in complex web application projects.
Countless stories, poems, songs and even speeches make reference to the ‘tapestry of humanity’; individual threads weaving together to form something endlessly complex and infinitely beautiful.
Some of these human threads make up the most visible parts of the tapestry, and they get the most care and attention. These are the able bodied, the financially secure. People without permanent physical or cognitive disabilities. People with stable relationships, who never have to worry about the basics like food or shelter.
Most experts in marketing, advertising and UX dedicate vast amounts of time, effort, energy and resources to understanding these groups. Whilst the narratives emerging from this important work help us understand their needs, wants, motivators, barriers and so on, other parts of the tapestry are overlooked or forgotten.
People who may be poor or disadvantaged. Perhaps disabled or homeless. Maybe vulnerable, financially or through unstable personal situations. But these threads deserve our attention and care just as much, if not more than the others.
My focus is on the less visible parts of our beautiful tapestry. I combine a background in design and UX with a talent for marketing, advertising and technology, applying my problem-solving and innovative thinking capabilities to help make their lives richer, easier and more fulfilling.
